Insect Discovery Day 2026!

Insect Discovery Day was full of wonder, learning and fun all thanks to the wonderful volunteers who took time to share their love of insects with our staff and visitors- members of the Entomological Society of Alberta.

Real bug scientists were on hand to answer questions, teach visitors of all ages how to use a sweep net and even show off some of their most exotic insects!

Thank you to everyone who came out on this special day to share your love and wonder of all things small. Now, more than ever, insects need our help- and the more we learn about the needs of insects that call our place home, the better we can help them thrive!
