This summer, 11-year-old Ava Riddle from near Vulcan rescued an abandoned and orphaned Swainson’s Hawk that had just left its nest.

Today, with the help of her father, John, Ava returned to the center with her family and released the young hawk back into the wild.

Thank you, Ava, for saving this hawk’s life!
