A primary focus of our organization is the rescue and release of injured hawks, falcons, eagles & owls. Our goal is to work cooperatively with the Alberta Fish & Wildlife Division to give these creatures in need a second chance at freedom back in the wild.
Although most birds come from our local southern Alberta region they also have been brought to us from British Columbia, Saskatchewan the Northwest Territories and the Yukon. While we focus and specialize with birds of prey, other bird species brought to us by the public are never turned away. As Alberta’s first non-government facility we have been carrying out our volunteer wildlife rescue work daily since 1983.
